Small Businesses and Teaming with JMT
JMT is eager to team with qualified small businesses on projects
ranging from the local to the national level.
For our government agency contracts, we typically team with
firms whose personnel are professionally registered or certified to
perform work in disciplines that complement and/or augment our
services. More specifically:
- Federal contracts: we seek teaming opportunities with small
businesses that are certified by the Small Business Administration
(SBA) as Disadvantaged HUBZone and 8(a) businesses, Women Owned
Businesses, Veteran-Owned/Service-Disabled businesses, and other
categories identified by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (a good
resource is www.acquisition.gov/far).
- Other government contracts: we team with firms that possess the
applicable certifications and registrations for the state or local
area. Examples include disadvantaged business enterprises
(DBE), minority business enterprises (MBE), and women-owned
business enterprises (WBE), as well as prequalification to provide
services to the specific agency.
Our teaming partners are expected to possess the requisite
experience and qualifications to perform the work. In
addition, they must maintain the necessary insurance and bonding as
appropriate, and be in good standing with taxation and health and
safety agencies as well as with any other agency-specific
requirements.
We encourage you to contact us using this form with regard
to teaming on current and upcoming opportunities. We will
likely request that you follow up with copies of your Federal
Standard Form 330 and other relevant company
brochures/materials.
In addition, if you are interested in performing Federal work
with us, we encourage you to register your firm in the Central
Contractor Registration database (located at www.bpn.gov/ccr). Upon completion of this
registration process, your small business will be listed in the
SBA's Dynamic Search Database. Please visit www.sba.gov for more details about
this process.
