I joined JMT in October 1985 as a Project Manager in the Baltimore Bridge Department.  When I started at JMT, the company was relatively small, but was an upcoming transportation firm that was making its mark within the Engineering Profession.  In my 43 year career (26+ at JMT) I have worked on bridges from Massachusetts to Florida and designed or managed the design of nearly all of the bridges on U.S. 50/301 starting with the Severn River Bridge near Annapolis, MD and going west to the Rte. 301 south exit.  In 1997 I transferred to Richmond, VA to establish a structural group to supplement the existing transportation division.

JMT's structural group in Richmond is an effective group that has completed the design of over 75 structures.  Some of the recent notable project include Rte. 460/15 over Buffalo Creek in Farmville (JMT's first design-build win in Virginia), Design-Build for the Fairfax County Parkway (7 bridges, two box culverts, two sound walls and miscellaneous sign structures), Dulles Airport North Area Roads South Section (7 bridges, several retaining walls and drainage structures) and two separate design-build projects (lead contractor was the same for both contracts) in Florida.

I contribute my success at JMT to having had the opportunity to work with good people that share the same goals as I have.  Those goals include doing a great job, giving help to others, and completing projects on time, within budget and exceeding client expectations.  My engineering career has been full of challenges and with the support and guidance from the JMT family; I plan to continue to love the work that I do.
