I joined JMT as a junior project manager and was offered the
exciting challenge of developing a structures group for JMT's
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office. My first project assignment
with JMT was a design build project that involved the widening of
several interstate highway bridges in Orlando, Florida. At
the time, we did not have an office in Florida and I was assigned
to a project team that included staff from our Pennsylvania,
Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia offices. I was new to
JMT and was a little concerned on how a project this size could be
effectively communicated between offices. It wasn't long
before I had gained confidence that JMT is seamless across
disciplines and offices. I was impressed with how well our
offices worked together and supported each other.
Over the past decade, I have been supported by wonderful mentors
and colleagues from various offices within the JMT family.
More importantly, I have been very privileged to work with an
outstanding staff in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office, as well
as extended staff throughout JMT's offices. Together we
have successfully completed projects from small bridge replacements
to multi-million dollar bridge preservation projects and developed
several award winning projects.
I believe the core to JMT's success is the dedication and hard
work of our employees. To maintain this success, our leaders
recognize that employees are our company's most valuable
asset. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of career
development opportunities and to become involved in professional
and community organizations. Joining the JMT family was
definitely the right career move for me. I look forward
to the future challenges and success of JMT as we all reach our
personal and professional goals together.
