Herndon, VA - Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) is pleased to announce that E. Eugene (Gene) Hull has joined JMT as Vice President in our Herndon office. Gene's responsibilities will focus on providing senior management support to our core transportation disciplines of design, right-of-way, and construction engineering & inspection, as well as developing and implementing plans for expansion within the region. Mr. Hull brings more than 51 years of transportation experience to JMT. He served as Deputy District Administrator for the Virginia Department of Transportation's (VDOT) Northern Virginia District from 1989 until his retirement earlier this year. Gene was responsible for the management of the Preliminary Engineering and Construction Divisions and was instrumental in the successful completion of many VDOT projects in Northern Virginia. Prior to his position as Deputy District Administrator, he served as Assistant District Engineer for Maintenance and Construction in the Northern Virginia District. In his career, Gene has worked on numerous large construction projects, including: the original Capital Beltway; the original and new Springfield Interchange; Interstates I-66, I-81, I-95, and I-395; widening of the Shirley Highway I-95/I-395 including the Mixing Bowl at the Pentagon; 19 mile extension of the I-95 HOV lanes in Fairfax and Prince William Counties; installation of the Traffic Management System on I-66, I-95 and I-395; Woodrow Wilson Bridge; Route 234 widening; Route 28 widening; the Fairfax County Parkway; and many other projects. |
