Richmond, VA - Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) is pleased to announce that Stephen C. Letchford, LS has joined JMT’s Richmond office as a Senior Associate and Chief of Surveys. He will be responsible for supervising our central Virginia survey activities. Mr. Letchford brings more than 20 years of survey experience in Virginia. In his tenure as a surveyor for regional surveying firms, Stephen has become an expert in the development and implementation of GPS based machine control systems and electronic data collection. His knowledge of these technologies has brought him exposure and recognition throughout Virginia, including his recent invitation to be a part of the state’s Committee on GPS Machine Automation. A highlight of his career was being part of the team that completed the first large scale GPS based control network for the mapping of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel Project. Mr. Letchford graduated from Plymouth College in the United Kingdom. He is a licensed Land Surveyor in Virginia. Stephen is actively involved in teaching survey courses at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and serves as an officer in the Central Chapter of the Virginia Association of Surveyors. |
