Philadelphia - James E. Maloney, P.E. joins Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) as a Senior Associate in the firm's Philadelphia office. Jim has an extensive background in highway engineering, having managed and designed numerous highway and bridge projects for transportation agencies in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is experienced in all aspects of project development, from project scoping to construction consultation, and includes significant experience in public involvement, utility coordination and environmental documentation. Prior to joining JMT, Jim was the Transportation Division Manager for a regional consulting firm in the Philadelphia area. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of the firm’s transportation design practice and managed several high-profile highway and bridge projects in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Maloney has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Engineering Management from Drexel University. He is formally trained in Project Management, Contextually Sensitive Design, and Value Engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and currently serves as the first Vice President of the Southern New Jersey Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers. Mr. Maloney will lead the effort to expand JMT's transportation design practice in eastern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia. Jim also will support JMT’s growing design practice in New Jersey.
