Sparks, MD - Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) is pleased to announce that Barry A. Miller, AIA has joined JMT as Vice President and Architect, responsible for managing our new Architectural practice within our Facilities Division. Barry has over 22 years of experience within the Baltimore region, and for the past 15 years he owned and operated his own firm, Barry A. Miller Architects. With both large and small firm experience, Mr. Miller has led his design teams in commercial, interior design, master plans, and renovation assignments for data centers, suites, labs, schools and other facilities and complexes. He has designed improvements and provided renovations for hospitals such as the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Bay View Medical Center, University of Maryland Medical System and the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. His experience with educational facilities includes renovations of numerous Harford County and Carroll County public schools as well as the master plan and design of new private schools. Examples of Barry’s successful commercial projects include renovations and additions to BGE’s headquarters building, design of the Towson Town Center Mall, and design and renovations to restaurants located in Canton Square. Barry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University and a Masters of Architecture from Arizona State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a licensed Architect in Maryland who is currently obtaining licenses in the mid-Atlantic region. The addition of Mr. Miller makes JMT a full-service architectural/engineering consultant firm, helping us to serve our clients in new ways. |
