Lake Mary, FL - Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. (JMT) is pleased to announce that Mr. Jerry C. Woods, Jr., P.E. has joined our Lake Mary, Florida office to lead our Traffic Operations Engineering and Design Department. He has over three decades of experience in traffic engineering, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), project management and maintenance. During his 30 year tenure at the Florida Department of Transportation, District 5, Jerry served as an Assistant District Traffic Operations Engineer, the District Consultant Project Management Engineer, the Project Manager of the iFlorida Grant, as well as a Resident Maintenance Engineer. His responsibilities included managing the Traffic Operations Work Program and the Intelligent Transportation Systems Section, along with conceptual designs for large traffic operations projects, pushbutton design, approving signal submittal data, plans review, turn-on/final signal inspections, and signal and system timings. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and he is a Registered Professional Engineer in Florida. Jerry's presence in our Lake Mary office will provide our clients in Florida with additional experienced traffic engineering and highway design resources. |
