DC Public Schools Facility Assessments

JMT performed thorough comprehensive assessments of forty
elementary schools and associated middle schools.
In accordance with a request from DCPS to provide facilities
assessments associated with the DCPS Master Plan, JMT was awarded a
multi-task contract. Utilizing four separate teams of experienced
professionals, JMT performed thorough comprehensive assessments of
forty elementary schools and associated middle schools as assigned.
The assessments included appraisals of all mechanical systems,
electrical systems, technology and special systems, building
envelope, roofing, and site conditions. The assessment also
provides a precise inventory and evaluation of all systems and
equipment denoting current condition, life expectancy, code
adherence [including ADA], capacity, and viability. An emphasis was
placed upon the identification of structural deficiencies,
hazardous material exposure, energy proficiency, site traffic,
civil, storm water management and all pertinent information
relative to equipment models and manufacturers.
