NAVFAC Topographic Surveys
Location: Mid Atlantic States, North Carolina
Client: Naval Facilities Engineering Command
JMT provided field surveys under a design contract with NAVFAC
MIDLANT through R. Kenneth Weeks (RKWE), a JMT
Company.
JMT surveyors performed horizontal and vertical control surveys
utilizing GPS, topographic surveys and photogrammetric surveys.
Specific tasks have included:
Multi-Purpose Machine Gun (MPMG) Range, Camp
Lejeune, Jacksonville, North Carolina - JMT performed
ground control surveys and aerial target coordination for an 800
acre photogrammetric survey at Camp Lejeune. Surveying services
included the use of RTK GPS to acquire X, Y and Z values on aerial
control panels, supplemental topographic surveys and the
establishment of first order surveying monuments inside of the job
limits. JMT also merged the TIN models of photogrammetric surveys
and ground surveys to provide NAVFAC a combined TIN file.
Wallace Creek Master Plan - Camp Lejeune,
Jacksonville, North Carolina - JMT provided a
complete topographic and physical survey of approximately 450
acres, including ground control surveys, utility surveys,
supplemental topographic surveys and processing of field and
photogrammetric surveys in AutoCAD per NAVFAC MIDLANT deliverable
guidelines. JMT merged the supplemental topography, aerial mapping
and wetland surveys by others into one design file.
P 636 BEQ and Post Office Surveys, Camp Lejeune,
Jacksonville, North Carolina - JMT performed field
topography surveys using electronic data collection to provide a
complete topographic and physical survey of approximately 23 acres
at Camp Lejeune. Static GPS surveys were used to generate
horizontal and vertical control on site. All surveys were
processed and deliverables included a TIN file in NAVFAC CADD
standards.
