JMT’s professional electrical engineers provide services in support of the company’s transportation and facility projects.  Whether we are designing roadway lighting or accommodating utility relocations, our work is critical to roadway and bridge projects.  Likewise, no facility is constructed without paying close attention to power requirements and limitations.

We are familiar with the requirements associated with National Electric Codes, IES, NFPA, BOCA as well as other local, state, Federal codes, regulations and laws.  Design calculations are performed for Load Flow, Voltage Drop, Transformer Sizing, Short Circuit and Coordination studies.

JMT analyzes and designs medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems including switches and switchgear, transformers, manholes, duct banks and motor control centers.  We provide lighting services from calculations of lighting levels and point-to-point modeling to design of lighting for building exteriors and interiors, roadways and walkways.

Our engineers provide expertise in categories that increasingly have become standard components as facilities are built or upgraded: security lighting; intrusion detection and access control; energy-conserving lighting controls and fixtures; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) used in computer, LAN and telephone rooms; low voltage premise wiring for telephone and data systems; and fire alarm systems.  We secure approvals from the authority having jurisdiction related to life-safety regulations, fire detection and alarm systems.
