JMT’s Traffic Planning and Engineering Division is comprised of experienced travel demand forecasters and traffic engineers as well as traffic counters and technicians. We work with municipalities, county and state agencies, and metropolitan planning organizations to address projects from a single traffic signal warrant study to an update and refinement of regional forecast models. The results of our data collection and analysis often are incorporated toward the completion of transportation planning and design assignments.
Among the planning level services we provide include: travel simulation modeling, accident studies, spot speed and curve studies, corridor studies, travel time and delay studies, capacity analysis, circulation studies, roundabout analysis, origin-destination studies, intersection signal warrant studies, parking studies, roadway safety studies, traffic impact studies and reviews, and travel demand forecasting. JMT is experienced with the development and refinement of regional models for highway and transit projects as well as for air quality analysis.
JMT also maintains a full staff of traffic counters and equipment to perform manual and machine traffic counts for projects ranging from two-lane roadways to interstate highways.
