Traffic Engineering / ITS
Traffic Engineering encompasses many elements including data
collection, studies and analysis, forecasting, and design of
traffic control features and intelligent transportation
systems. Traffic Engineering is a skilled discipline
requiring knowledge of federal, state and local criteria, as well
as an understanding of human factors, that is a crucial element of
transportation projects.
JMT has the ability to meet the needs of various clients by
designing efficient solutions for their transportation traffic
engineering needs. Through our working relationships with
many transportation agencies, we understand the similarities and
differences between jurisdictions. This assists us in providing the
safest and most cost-effective designs to each client. At JMT
we have a staff of professionals that have performed studies and
designed projects throughout the eastern United States for federal,
state, local government and private clients. We understand
how to incorporate human factors into our designs to assist
motorists in making informed and safe decisions on the roadway.
Sustainable solutions are our specialty and are integral in all we
do.
